It is our pleasure to announce that for the second straight year, the Massachusetts Lambda Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta at Worcester Polytechnic Institute has been named WPI Chapter of the Year at the annual Greek Recognition Awards. This award highlights the passion and dedication of the chapter and reflects on the continued commitment of the local alumni.
In addition to this highest distinction, the Chapter was recognized for its Outstanding Educational Programming and Outstanding Leadership Development, in addition to receiving Honorable Mentions in the following categories:
Outstanding Risk Management
Outstanding Public Relations
Outstanding Community Service
Outstanding Sustainability
Outstanding Facilities and Fiscal Management
Beside Chapter accomplishments, several brothers were recognized for their individual contributions. Alex Hyman ('15) was named New Member of the Year, Jacob Czarnowski ('13) was named Humanitarian of the Year after completing over 200 hours of community service, and Joey Botelho ('14) was presented with the Living the Ritual Award for his commitment to the ideals of Phi Kappa Theta.
Current Chapter President Adam Moreschi had the following to say about the awards, "Receiving these Greek Recognition 2013 Awards means a new level of achievement and challenges that lie ahead. I couldn’t be prouder and more privileged to lead such an amazing group of young men right now. They make my job that much easier. It is my hope to continue and improve upon our Chapter functions through our values in passion, dedication, integrity, humility, and leadership. This year has seen a definite rise in Phi Kap pride on WPI’s campus and we are growing more united while keeping our character, culture, and roots in full view.”
Congratulations to the Massachusetts Lambda Chapter on all of your hard work this year!
