Chapters Continue to Set Goals and Create Action Plans for Improvement

pktcrestAs we continue to roll out Phi Kappa Theta’s Achieve Program for 2013, we are very encouraged with the level of engagement we’ve seen from our collegiate chapters.

To date, 36 of our 45 collegiate chapters have prioritized and assessed their levels of success across the 14 different developmental sub-categories identified as important areas to actively develop our young men. Of these 36 chapters, 29 of them have set at least one goal for improvement before the end of May 2013. In addition to setting the goals, these chapters have also created specific action plans to follow that will allow them to achieve these goals. A total of 116 specific goals and action plans have been set by these 29 chapters!

The format for the Achieve Program 2013 has provided chapters with a template that is easy to implement, allowing them to improve in areas such as Academic Excellence, Alumni Engagement, Career Preparation and Recruitment. Additionally, chapters have been able to determine how they will measure their levels of success. By choosing from defined outcomes as Knowledge Gained, Community Impact, Quality of the Experience and Changed Behavior, chapters are able to take true ownership in how they are fulfilling our Mission of actively developing our men.

Between now and the end of the academic year our chapters will continue to execute on their established action plans and evaluate their success. These two items make up Step 3 of the Achieve Program.

Follow this link to see the full report of those chapters who’ve submitted Step 1 and Step 2 year to date.
