Ali Soufan (Mansfield University, ‘94)

Brother, former FBI Agent and New York Times Bestseller Ali H. Soufan (Mansfield University, ‘94) is an honors graduate of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with degrees in International Studies and Political Science. It was there that Brother Soufan was initiated into the Pennsylvania Delta Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The Soufan Group, Brother Soufan is a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent whose investigations spanned highly complex international cases of terrorism – including the attacks on the USS Cole and 9/11. Brother Soufan also serves as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council.

Brother Soufan is the author of the newly released Anatomy of Terror: From the Death of bin Laden to the Rise of the Islamic State. His New York Times Top 10 Bestseller, The Black Banners: The Inside Story of 9/11 and the War Against al Qaeda was recognized with the Ridenhour Book Prize in 2012. Brother Soufan has been interviewed by and contributed to national shows and publications including 60 Minutes, Frontline, The New Yorker, Newsweek, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.
